Change of plans! We were planning to all be involved in serving a brunch to several elderly and/or disabled residents at the Oak Manor Apartments this morning. But since the rain has been coming down HARD, we had to be flexible. Some of the students and Melinda are running a shuttle service to assist the residents in getting to the building where the brunch is being hosted. The rest of us are back at Northridge Park Baptist Church (where we sang last night) to do some painting, cleaning, and manual labor-type stuff. The kids are still doing great, and are jumping right into the work.

This afternoon, we went to another apartment complex and did crafts and played games with the resident children. Lots of fun!
Tonight, we were back to the Oak Manor Apartments to sing an outdoor concert, our first time on tour to present the entire musical. It went great! The students sang and acted very well, and there was a good audience. (Even though many of them were playing basketball while we were singing...)
To top it all off, we went to a mall for dinner, including dessert "to go" from The Cheesecake Factory. Thank you so much, meal sponsors! You have been such a blessing to us!
The emails continue to come in, and the kids are still hanging in there. They are so flexible and so ready to serve; it's really awesome to see!
Thank you as always for your prayers. Pray that the weather stays good and that we will see more opportunities for service tomorrow.
Enjoy the growing number of pictures, and we'll check in tomorrow!
