Today was good. One group of the kids served meals and worked in the clothing and food pantry at Community Minsitries Center. They had to get up really early, and they did a great job!
The rest of us spent the day cleaning up around the Oak Manor Apartments. The students also played with the kids that live in the apartments, who really loved the attention! Tomorrow we will be back at both of those sites for some more ministry opportunitites.
Priority sang their concert pieces twice today. One presentation was at another hospital in town, where we learned the fine art of "creative spatial utilitzation". Translation: no room in the inn! The kids really got into it, and people in the hospital were very receptive.
The other singing opportunity was this evening at Northridge Park Baptist Church across town. They fed us a wonderful home-cooked spaghetti dinner (Mr. Lee ate 7 plates full...) and then we sang our concert. What a great time!
The students are really showing their spiritual maturity as they sing, witness, and minister to the people of San Antonio this week. We're very proud!
Enjoy the pictures. There are a lot of them today, and some more coming I think. Also, there are 2 new ones from yesterday that Melinda took.
Parents and friends, thank you for the emails! Keep them coming. The kids are loving them!
Oh, and Wes... I most certainly do NOT stink at basketball! I'll see you on any court any time, buddy. Let's throw down...
More tomorrow!
