Day 5.
Whatever... Saturday! What a great day! This is usually the 'play' day on tour. There was lots of that at the water park. This is also a day to reflect on what we've accomplished these past few days. Your students have accomplished many, many things. You can be very proud of them. I think all the Bionics will agree your students have grown up a little on this tour.
I had a chance to spend a little time with Tom Ogburn. He said your students were more than incredible. Not only has Priority ministered to the young and old, they have been inspiration to a church who needed inspiration. FBC Oklahoma City has been the lighthouse for OKC since before Oklahoma was even a state. In recent years though, they have lost their way. Tom is the right man, at the right place, at the right time for FBC OKC. You can see it in the faces of the congregation. The church is coming alive again. Tom said to me that your students were the right group, at the right place, at the right time in the life of FBC OKC. God will be able to use what they have done.
Before going to the water park, we went to the Oklahoma City Bombing Memorial. What a powerful place to experience. The attached pictures do not fully describe what your students saw and felt. The feelings were overwhelming. Many of the students saw a lone duck in the memorial with nine little ducklings. The duck took her new little ducklings into the reflection pool. More than one student saw what they described as "life out of death" in that visual. Wow! We saw God in that place, as your students will attest.
We are tired and some are a little sunburned, but we are excited to sing at another church in the morning and then show you what we mean by... WHATEVER!
