Day 1.

Priority got off to a good start - on time! 6 vans and a panel truck pulled out of our parking lot and into the official start of the Reign Down! Tour 2006. Pray for them today, as they have a big day ahead!

Well, here we are in Louisiana...yes, Nana, the state (inside joke). It has been a LONG day of travel, but what an amazing time of God's reigning down on us!! The students sang beautifully, but more importantly they worshiped a living and holy God in the presence of many who needed to hear.

Our first stop was at the Shriner's Hospital in Shreveport. I have not heard the songs nor the narration before today...WOW!! I was struck by a number of things both times they sang today. We are, of course, in an area that was literally in the storms last year. One of the songs they sing is "Praise You in This Storm." The first line is, "I was sure by now, God, You would have reached down and wiped our tears away; stepped in and saved the day..." I am SURE they have thought that more than once in this past year. But, yet, still...God is in control and "sometimes He calms the storm, and sometimes He calms His child."

The next stop was at a children's home in Ruston. We had been warned that the kids at the home might not be very attentive. This was NOT the case. They listened very well and heard some great words, "Holy is the Lord...the whole earth sings...living for the glory of Your name." AND on the day that had been touted as 6-6-06...a day for Satan to be hailed, the words our students sang were, "Satan is vanquished and JESUS IS KING!" Just typing that gives me a chill all over again!! WOW! What a day!

Tomorrow brings many new oppotunities and mercies...they are new every morning, you know...
