Well, it is after midnight…a very LONG day of travel, but a blessing nonetheless!!

We are on the OBSESSED tour, and I do believe that these students were prepared to show what that looks like to a world who needs to know our Lord! This was the first time I had heard any of their music, so I am going to share some of the lines that caught me as they sang. "You lead us in the song of Your SALVATION, and all Your people sing along." "Your grace is ENOUGH. I'm covered in Your love." "There is SALVATION in Your arms." "Jesus, I bow before You." "To know and follow hard after You" is my one ambition. You "lead me, and I will RUN after You." There was NO getting around hearing OBSESSION in these next words: "Your love is LIFE to me." "My truest longing; my deepest need. Without it one moment I don't know where I'd be."

Those are some lines that really struck me as they sang. Not only are those words powerful and meaningful, but the way your students sang them made them come to life even more. They are true…yes, but that they are true for these 7th and 8th graders gives much hope for anyone looking to the future.

As it so happened, there was a banner hanging in the TINY chapel where they sang today…I think God might have had something to do with it…right over their heads were these words: "Raising a generation that seeks God." I was amazed when I finally READ that banner instead of thinking what an annoyance it was having it hanging there…so distracting, you know…Well, I tell you what…GOD put it there as a confirmation of what HE is doing in these kids lives and hearts. You can and should be very proud of your students. They touched people and showed OBSESSED lives before our LIVING GOD!
