THURSDAY

FILLED

Thursday, June 07, 2007…What a day! We went back to Bokencamp Children's Center again today to finish up the great work started yesterday. There was MUCH more painting, sorting and organizing to do, and building was added to the project list today. There was one crew that stayed there all day to be sure to finish up. That was a LONG day for them. What a super job. The supervisors of the center could not say enough how impressed they were with the students and with the terrific job that was done in all areas.

Our next stop was the Wesley Community Center. We arrived at "naptime," and I was very excited about that until I learned it was not OUR naptime! So instead of napping we went right to work on several tasks they had ready for us. There was MUCH very hard yard work to be done, and I heard later that there were some real "stand outs" with the students working well beyond their years! They are truly blessing the centers where they are helping, but they are also blessing those of us with the privilege to be with them! Near the end of our time there, the students sang with and loved on some babies and toddlers. They got the kids involved in some "fun" songs with movements. The children were eager to come up with the students and "help" with the motions. It was hard to leave those precious children!

We had another great evening of worship tonight. As you might imagine, a Thursday night "crowd" is EASILY fit in a worship center, but you MUST know that God filled this place-not necessarily with many people, BUT WITH HIMSELF! HE was present, and therefore NO ONE was disappointed! Thank You, God! He always makes us eager to see what He is going to be doing in them and us tomorrow!
