FRIDAY

CONSUMED

Friday is over by about 7 minutes, and we are almost finished with this day. It has been GLORIOUS!! We spent most of today in several assisted living centers singing songs, hymns and spiritual songs with residents and people who work with them daily. It is the sweetest thing to see your students singing with these elderly residents. They loved on these people and blessed them with such tenderness. It was a great day. There was a line in one of the hymns that was a GREAT reminder of a line from the script. One of the narrators has a line that talks about the fact that being OBSESSED with God might cost us something, and then they sang in "The Old Rugged Cross" this morning "its shame and reproach gladly bear." What a wonderful picture of OBSESSION!

Tonight we went to the beach and played and got VERY DIRTY, but it was a great time of fellowship. Near the end of our time there, we were encouraged to gather around a fire and write on a piece of wood what has kept us from following God and making Him our OBSESSION. After we had a time of prayer, we threw those pieces of wood into the fire and let go and let God have all of us…to truly make Him our PURE and HOLY PASSION!!!

One of the sponsors said that the students sang better today by far than they ever had in any presentation and/or rehearsal throughout the entire year…you REALLY should NOT miss Sunday night's presentation. But be warned that you might find yourself taking their challenge to be OBSESSED by God and love Him with all your heart, soul, mind and strength.
